He is a retired Full Professor at the University of Nairobi, where he devoted his life to scholarship, teaching, and service. He holds academic degrees from the University of Nairobi and a PhD in Agricultural Entomology from the University of Dar es Salaam. A respected researcher and mentor, Prof. Nderitu has published extensively and supervised numerous postgraduate students. His work in pest management and crop science has contributed to agricultural development, food security, and capacity building across East Africa and beyond. Beyond academia, he is a devoted husband and father, deeply proud of his family.
